Important The Hindu Editorial Vocabulary is an important part of SBI Clerk, SBI PO, SSC CGL and other exams. A major portion of the question paper tests your knowledge on vocabulary . Influence(noun):
- प्रभाव, प्रतिष्ठा , செல்வாக்கு
- a person or thing that affects someone or something in an important way
Synonyms: impact, impress, affect, move, reach
Antonyms: impotency, powerlessness, weakness

Caveat(noun):
- चेतावनी, विरोध-पत्र, எச்சரிக்கையை, சட்டமன்ற நடப்புகளின் தற்காலிக நிறுத்தம்
- an explanation or warning that should be remembered when you are doing or thinking about
something

Nuanced(noun):
- अति सूक्ष्म अंतर, नाज़ुक फ़र्क, கருத்தில், பொருளில் மிகச் சிறிய வேறுபாடு
- a very small difference in color, tone, meaning, etc.
Synonyms: delicate, exact, finespun, hairline
Antonyms: coarse, inexact, rough

Perpetual(adjective):
- लगातार, बिना मीआद का, நித்திய , சாசுவதமான
- continuing forever or for a very long time without stopping
Synonyms:  ceaseless, continual, continued, continuing, incessant

Antonyms: discontinuous, noncontinuous

Reluctance (noun):
- अनिच्छा, தயக்கம், பிரியமின்மை
- a certain degree of unwillingness
- (physics) opposition to magnetic flux (analogous to electric resistance)

Referendum (noun):
- जनमत संग्रह, रिफ़रेंडम, வாக்கெடுப்பு, பொதுஜன வாக்கெடுப்பு
- a legislative act is referred for final approval to a popular vote by the electorate

Consequences(noun):

- परिणामों, परिणाम, விளைவுகள்
- a phenomenon that follows and is caused by some previous phenomenon

Campaign(noun):

Barriers(noun):

Predecessor (noun):
- पूर्वज, पुरखा, முன்னோடி, முந்தியவர்
- one who precedes you in time (as in holding a position or office)

Jurisdictions(noun):

- न्यायालय, न्याय सीमा, அதிகார வரம்புகளில், சட்ட ஆட்சி எல்லை
