CI at the end of 1

CI= 1344-1200 = 144

500 paid then remaining amount = 1344 – 500 = 844

At the end of 2nd year

844*[(1+(12/100)] =945.2

^{st}year = 1200 *( 1+(12 /100)) = 1344CI= 1344-1200 = 144

Principal = Rs.400 Amount = Rs 100 x 6 = Rs 600

Interest = Rs 600 - Rs 400 = Rs 200

Time taken will be same when both meet log will flow with speed of river flow so, 100/(12+4)+(100−𝑥)/(12−4)=𝑥/4

100/16+(100−𝑥)/8=𝑥/4

100+200−2𝑥/16=𝑥/4
