**Q1.SOL: A**

Let the two-digit number = 10x + y

10x + y – x – 10y = 1.8 * 10

9x – 9y = 18

x – y = 2

**Q2. SOL: B**

Let Required men = x

(60 * 60) / (¾) = {(60-x) *30} / (1/4)

40 = 60 – x

X = 20

**Q3. SOL: D**

A = 3 * 700 + 3 * 500 + 6 * 620

B = 600 * 12

I,e; A = 7320 = 366 = 183

B = 7200 = 360 = 180

Ratio of investment = 183: 180

Amount A receive = (183 / 363) * 726 = 183 * 2 = 366 Rs. **Q4. SOL: B**

Let the expense of mess for student be x

(x – 1) * 40 – 36x = 32

40x – 40 - 36x = 32

4x = 72

X = 18

Required expense = 18 * 36 = 648 Rs.

**Q5. SOL: D**

Let required no. of days = x

(x-5)/10 + (x- 3)/12 + x/15 = 1

(6x-30+5x-15+4x)/60 = 1

15x – 45 = 60

15x = 105

X = 7 Days

**Q.6 SOL: B**

J:A = 6: 11

A) 11x – 6x = 25; so we can find ratio of age 5 year ago.

B) (11x+5) – (6x+5) = 25

C) 11x + 8x = 85

**Q7. SOL: E**

8M + 6W = 1/21

1.5(8M + 6W) = 1.5 * (1/21)

12M + 9W = 1/14

Work will be completed in 14 days; No need of any information.

**Q.8 SOL: D**

Question can’t be answered because direction of movement of the trains are not given

**Q.9 SOL: D**

Total CP = 32

Total SP = 12 + 6 + 2 = 20

∴Loss percentage =12/32×100 = 37.5%

**Q.10 SOL: A**

B → 3X

C → X

Ratio of their speeds = 6 : 3 : 1

Ratio of their time = 1/6:1/3:1/1 = 1 : 2 : 6

∴Time taken by B = (42/6)×2 = 14min
